Leadership
I believe we are all leaders. We learn and grow with the people around us. Leadership reflects the capacity we are lucky to have at any given moment. I believe true leaders work to ensure we all have the capacity to lead.
At UW, I have led by working to inspire and build genuine capacity in the people surrounding me. I am acutely aware of how important a supportive, caring, relevant gesture or relationship can be for someone. Whether it be taking the extra moment to work through a piece of writing or image with an author for Currents or writing a last-minute funding proposal for a community partner, I lead by supporting, empowering, and listening to others.
